Project 1 — Library management system (beginner)

Project 2 — Expense report processing (beginner/intermediate)

Upload expenses from CSV (front end and application server), validate against categories and limits, store with number ranges, display per employee with totals using GROUP BY loops, and export to XLSX. *Concepts: file handling, number ranges, validation, GROUP BY, constructor expressions.*

Project 3 — Object-oriented payment engine (intermediate)

Interfaces and strategies for card, invoice, and bank-transfer payments; factory and singleton configuration; custom exception hierarchy with message texts; events for audit logging; 90%+ ABAP Unit coverage with test doubles. *Concepts: ABAP Objects, design patterns, exceptions, events, ABAP Unit, test doubles.*

Project 4 — Sales order integration hub (intermediate/advanced)

Create sales orders from inbound IDocs and from a REST endpoint (via BAPI), send order confirmations as outbound IDocs, monitor status, reprocess errors, and log everything to SLG1; parallelize mass processing with aRFC. *Concepts: IDocs/ALE, BAPIs, RFC, LUW, locking, application logs, parallel processing.*

Project 5 — Invoice output solution (intermediate)

Adobe Form (or Smart Form) for invoices with logos, item tables, totals, and payment terms; print, preview, PDF download, and e-mail with CL_BCS; batch generation via background job. *Concepts: forms, OTF/PDF handling, e-mail, background jobs, authorization checks.*

Project 6 — HANA analytics cockpit (advanced)

VDM-style CDS stack (interface, cube, query views) over orders and customers with currency conversion, parameters, DCL roles; an AMDP-based ranking via table function; ALV IDA display and a Fiori elements analytical list page. *Concepts: CDS view entities, annotations, DCL, AMDP, code pushdown, ALV IDA, Fiori elements.*

Project 7 — RAP leave-request app (advanced)

Managed, draft-enabled RAP BO with approval actions, validations (date overlap, balance), determinations, instance authorization by manager, business events, side effects; OData V4 UI and Web API bindings; Fiori elements list report; full ABAP Unit test suite with BO test doubles. *Concepts: RAP, BDEF, EML, draft, feature control, authorization, events, OData V4, Fiori elements, ABAP Unit.*

Project 8 — Clean-core migration of a legacy add-on (expert)

Take a legacy custom add-on (reports, user exits, modifications): analyze with ATC cloud-readiness and SQLM usage data, retire dead code, replace modifications with BAdIs, wrap unreleased APIs, re-implement key processes in ABAP Cloud (RAP + released APIs), set up abapGit/gCTS with a CI pipeline (ATC + AUnit gates). *Concepts: S/4HANA readiness, clean core, ABAP Cloud, released APIs, wrappers, enhancements, gCTS, CI/CD.*
